The laboratory has several test benches, which are widely used for student projects and internships. The test benches are primarily designed to convey teaching contents in the field of control engineering and mechatronics. Typical student projects contain the design of a control system for a given application.

Two of the test benches are shown in the images above. The inverted pendulum (on the left) is an unstable system, which is operated by a pneumatic drive with compressed air. The five degrees of freedom articulated robotic arm (on the right) is a good demonstration object for advanced control systems.

In Addition, the ReMech Lab has a quadrocopter test bench for the application of altitude and yaw control systems and a model vehicle test bench for the application of speed and distance control systems.
